Note: Due to political unrest, non-emergency U.S. personnel and their families have been evacuated from Haiti and a travel warning is in effect.
In 2004, U.S. citizens adopted approximately 356 children from Haiti. Infants, young children, teens, and special needs children are available for adoption, as well as sibling groups. The children reside in orphanages.

Other: Adopting parents are required to submit a psychological evaluation along with other dossier documents.
